Your Summer Iced Mango Matcha

Listen up, summer is here so I know you are all hanging for a new summer matcha drink. If you’re still out there making the same iced matcha latte, there is time for a revamp.

What You’ll Need to succeed

  • Matcha Maven Matcha (duh)
  • Bamboo whisk
  • Matcha bowl
  • Fine-mesh sieve
  • Hot (but not boiling) water
  • Your fave milk, the creamer the better
  • Ice
  • 1 x Mango
  • Agave or Honey
  • Blender

Step 1:

Slice your mango and place into blender with some agave or honey to add additional sweetness and blend. Place it in the bottom of your favorite matcha glass. This is going to be your base layer for your summer drink.

Step 2:

Place your whisk in a cup of hot but not boiling water (174F) to let it bloom. This will ensure that you do not damage your whisk and break the bamboo when making a matcha and will help preserve it.

Step 3:

Sift 3g or 1 Tbsp of matcha into your bowl and make sure you get all the clumps out (no one likes a clumpy matcha lol)

Step 4:

Pour 60g of hot but not boiling water (174F) into your bowl and start whisking in a W motion rapidly. You know you are doing it right when it starts to look like all the tiktok videos you watch and it gets frothy. (This step should take between 30 sec- 1 min)

Step 5:

Take your matcha glass with your mango already in the bottom and fill it 3/4 the way with ice. Pour in your favorite milk (mine is grass-fed whole milk ), and then top off with your beautiful matcha.

Step 6:

Admire your beautiful drink and it should look something like the photo when completed.

Tag @matchamavenn when you are done, to complete your summer.

Happy Matcha Making my ladies!
